St. Nicholas School provides each child with an excellent  education whilst catering for individual needs in a secure and happy environment. 

Academic achievement is high, and the school is proud of its success in various areas of the curriculum including sports and the arts.  These are denoted, in particular by the awards received in school such as the Inclusion Quality Mark, Quality Assurance Accreditation with Investors in Children endorsement, Sport England Active Mark Gold Award, Arts Mark Gold Award, ECO-Schools Award and our Healthy Schools Award.

We had an outstanding OFSTED in March 2009 and are pleased to be able to share our good practice and success with the community as well as other schools.

As a voluntary controlled church school we enjoy strong links with our Parish Church of St. Nicholas. 

The school has many attributes including its delightful spacious grounds, its excellent facilities and the high level of commitment of all its staff.  Our school is a happy, welcoming place where pupils can prosper in an atmosphere that is friendly, caring and supportive, as well as motivational.
